Documenting the human condition
'The whole point of taking photographs is so you don't have to explain things with words', Elliott Erwitt

I was born in small town Australia in the 1960’s. I moved to Sydney in 1980 to finish school and went on to study Biochemistry at university. I have worked in the field of medical diagnostics since the 1980’s. In this I have had opportunities for travel and residence in various countries. The Netherlands has been my home since 1998. After years of career focus and raising a family, I picked up a camera again in 2019. My interest in street photography arose from the urban environment I live in and a developing interest in humanist philosophy. My photography interests are in three areas, protest, portraits and street life. I photograph protests that highlight human rights issues for various groups in society. Portraits, because I am fascinated by how people visually express their identity. For Street photography my interest lies in capturing moments of normal life with a strong emphasis on the human presence.
